Booking and Service Terms

The terms that apply when you book a mobile detailing service with us.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to mobile vehicle detailing services supplied by KRH Valeting trading as KRH Valeting. They apply to bookings made through our website, by telephone, by email, by text or through another messaging channel.

You do not need to sign these terms. They become part of the contract when they are brought to your attention before booking and the booking is then accepted in accordance with these terms.

2. Who can book

You must be at least 18 and authorised to arrange the work, provide access to the vehicle and allow us to work at the service location. If you book for someone else, you are responsible for obtaining any permission reasonably needed from the owner, keeper, employer, lease company or property occupier.

3. How a booking becomes a contract

Website
You submit a booking after reviewing the service, price and key terms and completing the booking process. The contract is formed when we confirm that we have accepted the booking, unless the website clearly states that acceptance takes place earlier.

Telephone
We confirm the service, price and key cancellation information, explain that the booking is subject to these terms and ask whether you agree. The contract is formed when we confirm the booking after you agree.

Email, text or social message
We send or link the relevant terms and ask you to confirm the booking. The contract is formed when we accept your confirmation.

Changes on the day
A material change to the work or price only applies if it is explained and agreed. We may record the agreement in the booking system, by message or in another reasonable way.

4. Your booking confirmation

Your confirmation should identify the vehicle, service, location, appointment date or arrival window, total price or pricing method, deposit, balance due, agreed extras and any special conditions. Please check it and tell us promptly if anything is wrong.

5. What is included

We provide the package and add-ons shown in your confirmation and the service description that applied when you booked. Work not listed as included is excluded unless we agree it separately.

Unless expressly included, detailing does not include body repairs, dent repairs, mechanical or electrical repairs, dismantling fixed vehicle components, guaranteed removal of every stain or odour, hazardous-material remediation, or paint correction beyond the level specifically booked.

6. Prices, estimates and extra work

Consumer prices are [VAT INCLUSIVE / BUSINESS NOT VAT REGISTERED]. A remote price may be an estimate if we cannot reasonably assess the vehicle in advance. If the vehicle size, condition or requested work is materially different from the information supplied, we will explain the issue before carrying out chargeable extra work.

We may offer a revised price, reduced scope, rescheduled specialist service or cancellation where appropriate. We do not add optional paid extras without your agreement. You may choose to pre-authorise additional work up to £50.

7. Deposit and payment

The deposit is a percentage of the total balance. It is credited against the total price and is dealt with under the Cancellation and Refund Policy. The remaining balance is due on completion. We accept cash or bank transfer.

We may take reasonable steps to recover an undisputed overdue amount. Nothing in these terms gives us a right to unlawfully keep your keys or personal belongings.

8. The service location

You must provide a lawful and reasonably safe place to work, with enough space around the vehicle and any permission required from the landowner or occupier. Tell us about permits, parking limits, private-road rules, access restrictions, drainage restrictions, alarms or other hazards before we arrive.

YOU MUST PROVIDE safe and accessible water and electricity as stated in your booking. We may change the method, move the work area, delay or stop work if the conditions are unsafe or would risk unlawful wastewater disposal or pollution.

9. Preparing the vehicle

- Remove cash, valuables, medication, documents, fragile items and anything you do not want us to handle.
- Remove or secure child seats, loose items and boot contents unless handling them is part of the booked service.
- Tell us about alarms, trackers, dash cameras, immobilisers, aftermarket electronics, hidden compartments or special access instructions.
- Tell us about leaks, weak seals, loose trim, damaged switches, recent paintwork, wraps, paint-protection film, matte/satin finishes, conversions or manufacturer restrictions.
- Make sure keys and locking systems work. Do not leave unrelated house or business keys on the vehicle keyring.

10. Pre-existing condition

Vehicles can have scratches, chips, corrosion, worn finishes, loose clips, weak adhesives, previous repairs, failed seals, water ingress, electrical faults or contamination that is not obvious before cleaning. Dirt can hide defects, and careful cleaning can reveal an already weakened part.

Our inspection is a practical visual check for the detailing service. It is not a mechanical, structural, electrical or full paint-history inspection and cannot identify every hidden defect.

11. Photographs and service records

We may take reasonable photographs or video to record visible condition, access, progress, completion or an incident. These records help us perform and document the service. They are not automatically used for advertising. Optional marketing use is covered by our Photography and Media Policy.

12. Keys and moving the vehicle

If keys are needed, you authorise us to unlock, start and move the vehicle only so far as reasonably necessary to carry out the service or reposition it safely within the service location, within the agreed area of both parties.

Road driving, collection, delivery or a test drive is not included unless separately agreed and appropriately insured.

13. Electric, hybrid, modified and specialist vehicles

Tell us if the vehicle is electric, hybrid, converted, modified, classic, imported, freshly painted, wrapped, covered in PPF or has a matte/satin finish. We may need to use a different method, follow manufacturer instructions, require the vehicle to be disconnected from charging, or decline work that requires specialist competence.

14. Weather, access and timing

Mobile detailing depends on safe access and suitable conditions. Rain, wind, heat, cold, direct sunlight, frost, darkness or airborne contamination may make some work unsafe or affect the result or curing process. Arrival times and service durations are estimates unless we expressly guarantee a time.

We may reasonably delay, change the work sequence, relocate the vehicle with your agreement or reschedule where conditions prevent safe or proper work.

15. Results and limitations

We perform the service with reasonable care and skill. Detailing can improve appearance and condition, but it does not make an older or damaged vehicle new. Some stains, odours, scratches, etching, oxidation, corrosion, mineral deposits, mould or contamination may be permanent or may return because of an underlying cause.

A specific result is only guaranteed if your booking confirmation clearly says that it is guaranteed.

16. Higher-risk materials and areas

Area | What you should know
Headlining | Age, heat or previous moisture can weaken adhesive. We may use a low-moisture method and limit agitation.
Leather and dyed surfaces | Wear, colour transfer, coatings and previous repairs can react differently to cleaning. We may use a test area.
Alcantara, suede and natural fibres | These may require low-agitation methods and have limited stain-removal expectations.
Wraps, PPF and matte finishes | Edges, previous damage, lifting film and specialist finishes can limit the method used.
Older or repaired paint | Thin paint, resprays, smart repairs, lacquer failure or previous correction can limit safe polishing.
Biological contamination / mould | We may refuse work that presents a health risk or requires specialist remediation.

17. If we find a problem during the work

If we discover a condition that makes the booked method unsafe or unsuitable, we may pause the work and discuss alternatives. Depending on the circumstances, this may mean a revised method, reduced scope, additional work, rescheduling or cancellation. Any additional charge must be agreed before the extra work is carried out.

18. Your responsibilities after the service

Follow any aftercare instructions we provide, including cure times, keeping surfaces dry, maintenance washing or coating-care requirements. Tell us promptly if you think there is a problem so we have a reasonable opportunity to inspect it before another person carries out corrective work, unless urgent action is needed for safety or to prevent further damage.

19. Complaints and alleged damage

If you are unhappy with the service or believe damage has been caused, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at 07572085693. Our Complaints and Damage Claims Policy explains the information that helps us investigate.

We may ask to inspect the vehicle, review before-and-after images, speak to the technician, involve our insurer or obtain independent evidence. We do not reject a genuine complaint simply because no customer form was signed.

20. Our responsibility

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of contract or negligence, subject to the law. We are not responsible for loss caused by a pre-existing defect, hidden weakness, inaccurate information supplied to us, your failure to follow reasonable instructions, or an event outside our reasonable control, except where the law says otherwise.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

21. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, the law requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill. Depending on the circumstances, statutory remedies can include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction. These terms do not reduce those rights.

22. Cancellation and rescheduling

Our appointment cancellation and rescheduling rules are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Separate statutory cancellation rights may also apply to distance or off-premises bookings; see the Consumer Cancellation Rights page.

23. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, unsafe working conditions, road closures, unexpected illness, equipment failure despite reasonable maintenance, utility failure or other serious disruption. We will take reasonable steps to contact you and rearrange the booking.

24. Personal information

We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

25. Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to your booking are the version properly provided or linked before you became bound, together with any later change that we both agree. We may update the terms for future bookings.

26. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [ENGLAND AND WALES]. If you are a consumer, mandatory legal rights and rules about the courts you may use continue to apply. We will try to resolve complaints directly before court proceedings are considered.
