Cancellation and Refund Policy

Our appointment cancellation, rescheduling, deposit and refund rules.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains our normal appointment cancellation, rescheduling, deposit and refund rules. Statutory cooling-off rights can apply separately to some website, telephone and off-premises bookings. Those rights are explained on our Consumer Cancellation Rights page.

2. Cancelling or changing an appointment

Contact us at andrew@krhvaleting.com or 07572085693 as soon as possible. Tell us your name, vehicle registration, appointment date and whether you want to cancel or reschedule.

3. Our cancellation schedule

Complete this section before publication. Charges should be fair and should reflect the circumstances and the loss the cancellation is likely to cause. Do not use a penalty that is disproportionate to the loss.

Notice given | Normal treatment
More than [48] hours Full refund / free reschedule.
Between [24] and [48] hours | [State the reasonable charge or deposit treatment].
Less than [24] hours | Payment still required.
No-show / no access | Reasonable charge, taking account of costs saved and whether the slot can be filled].

4. Deposits

A deposit is part-payment towards the booking, not automatically a non-refundable fee. If a booking is cancelled, we apply this policy, any statutory cancellation rights and the law on fair consumer terms when deciding what may reasonably be retained.

5. Rescheduling

Where possible, we will offer a new appointment instead of cancellation. We may limit repeated changes or late changes where this causes genuine scheduling loss. Any charge will be explained before the new appointment is confirmed.

6. If we need to cancel or rearrange

We may need to rearrange because of unsafe weather, illness, equipment problems, access restrictions or another event outside our reasonable control. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and offer a suitable alternative.

If we cancel and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, we will refund amounts paid for the cancelled service. This does not affect any other legal right you may have.

7. Late arrival or unavailable vehicle

If the vehicle or service location is not available when we arrive, we may wait for a reasonable period if the schedule allows, reduce the service, reschedule or treat the booking as a late cancellation. Any charge must be fair in the circumstances and take account of costs we have saved.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method within [NUMBER] business days, although banks and payment providers may take additional time to show the refund.

9. Problems with completed work

A complaint about service quality is not treated as an ordinary cancellation. Contact us under the Complaints and Damage Claims Policy. If the service does not meet your statutory rights, remedies may include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction.

10. Statutory cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and the booking is a covered distance or off-premises contract, you may have a 14-day cancellation right. If you ask us to start within that period, special rules can apply. See the Consumer Cancellation Rights page for details.
